Over-aged trees, heavy branching, lack of regeneration of important tree species are some of the concerns facing Bhutan's broadleaved forests. Yusipang's Phuntsho Namgyel told Kuensel that broadleaved forests in Bhutan were old growth forests with insufficient seedlings and saplings caused by cattle grazing.
