An ambitious afforestation programme launched in the Aravalli Hills has resulted in enhanching the forest cover from nearly 2,201 hectares in 1990 to 31,886 hectares today, according to a report of the Haryana State Remote Sensing and Application Centre (HARSAC), Hisar. Also, 38.050 hectares of land had been covered under vegetative rehabilitation.
