Delhiites may be suffering four to five-hour power cuts this peak summer already, but a recent report on the power situation and tariff comparison of major Indian cities claims that in terms of outages, Delhi fares better than other places in the country. According to a recent report of the Union power ministry, domestic power consumers in the Capital are way better off than those in its neighbouring regions. Power tariff comparison of Delhi with five other Indian cities shows that Delhi has an average loadshedding of just 20 minutes daily. This is a lot less than the number of power cuts faced by neighbouring cities like Jaipur or even national capital territory (NCT) regions like Gurgaon and Faridabad, where outages last from two to ten hours. However, the report also mentions that Delhi has one of the the highest AT&C(aggregate technical and commercial) loss levels in the country at 35%, way above Mumbai, Kolkata or Bangalore.
