Morning walkers in New Delhi's posh localities would soon heave a sigh of relief, literally. The Forest Research Institute (FRI) would help the New Delhi Municipal Corporation to paint the capital green. The NDMC has sought expert care of FRI botanists for Delhi's ailing trees, flanking some of the Capital's oldest roads for years now. The FRI has sent its recommendations to pump life into Delhi's fading patch of green. The NDMC Horticulture Director Naseem Ahmed wrote to the FRI in May inviting experts from the institute to look into the deteriorating health of Delhi's trees. A four-member team of experts from the FRI led by entomologist R.S. Bhandari sent its suggestions to the NDMC after a survey.
