And the king of the heap is Matsushita Electric Works' TK402, thanks to its easy-to-use instructions and the eco-friendly outcome. The TK402 looks like an ordinary garbage pail. But instead of letting dinner leftovers decompose in their own time, the device speeds up the process with bacteria that inhabit specially developed wooden chips.
