The second instalment to the tune of Rs 50 lakh has been released to parched Indore. On April 8 last, the first instalment of Rs 50 lakh was released. In this way, Rs 1 crore has been made available to Indore collector for ensuring drinking water arrangements in the district during the summer.
Rs 79 lakh to 12 civic bodies
The State government has allocated Rs 79 lakh to 12 civic bodies in Sehore, Sagar, Shajapur, Sidhi and Dhar districts. Now, the arrangements for drinking water supply in these towns can be made more smoothly. The committee formed to conduct crisis fund and national emergency crisis fund has decided to allocate Rs 30 lakh to Sehore civic body, Rs 13 lakh to Sagar, Khurai, Bina, Banda, Gadhakota, Rahatgarh and Shahpura civic bodies, Rs 5.50 lakh to Shujalpur and Agar civic bodies in Shajapur district, Rs 50000 to Majhauli civic body in Sidhi district and Rs 30 lakh to Dhar municipal corporation.
Rs 23 lakh to four districts
The State government is making all out efforts to overcome grave water crisis, which has cropped up due to scanty rainfall during the last monsoon season. Funds are being allocated to districts for transportation of drinking water. In the series, the second instalment to the tune of Rs 22 lakh 75 thousand has been released to Sehore, Sagar, Shajapur and Dhar districts. Ealier, these districts were also allocated Rs 22 lakh 75 thousand on April eight, 20 and 28, 2009. Thus the civic bodies of abovementioned districts have been allocated Rs 45.50 lakh for supplying water during the last two months.
Of the total allocated funds, Rs four lakh has been given to Sehore civic body, Rs 75 thousand to Devri civic body in Sagar district, Rs 1 lakh to Rehli, Rs 1.50 to Shahgarh, Rs 7.50 to Shujalpur civic body in Shajapur district, Rs one lakh to Susner, Rs 3 lakh to Bargaon, Rs 1.50 lakh to Akodia, Rs 50 thousand to Kanar and Rs two lakh to Dhar civic body.
