The Group of Eight major nations will issue a special document emphasizing their continued support for efforts to preserve the world's forests, which are rapidly being destroyed, government officials said Wednesday. The document will be issued either at the G-8 summit in Okinawa Prefecture (Japan) on July 22, when the leaders will discuss environmental issues, or at the G-8 foreign ministers' conference to be held on Wednesday and Thursday in Miyazaki.
