Water Resources Minister Abdur Razzak has said the proposed Ganges Barrage MultipurposeProject is aimed at sustainable development of the southwest region of Bangladesh. The Minister told this at the two day sub-regional conference on Eastern Himalayan Water Resources Development being held in the capital of the Himalayan state.
