The Works Committee of Chennai Corporation on Wednesday approved extending of privatisation of garbage clearance and management to Pulianthope zone (III). Subject to the approval of Corporation Council, which meets later this month, and later the State Government, Pulianthope will become the fourth zone in the city where garbage clearance is privatised.
