The National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) will soon prepare a geographical information system for urban areas in Kochi, which is expected to boost developmental activities. Kochi has been included in the list of cities identified for preparing the National Urban Information System. This is being done by NRSA along with the Town and Country Planning Organisation under the Union Government. Work in this direction is progressing at the NRSA centre in Hyderabad.
