The Pakistan government has decided to establish Geographical Information System (GIS) at the national level to prepare management plans and monitor changes in the forest covered all over the country.According to official sources this decision was taken at the recently- held inter-provincial meeting on the spring tree plantation campaign, which expressed its concern over the fast depletion of the forest resources in the country.
