The Gerusoppa hydro-electric project in Honnavar taluk, Uttara Kannada district, will be dedicated to the nation by Chief Minister S M Krishna on May 15. The Gerusoppa project, which is better known as the Sharavati Tailrace project, has a total capacity of 240 MW and comprises four units of 60 MW each. Now two units are generating power.
