A total of 31,534 children aged between five to seven years who are either dropouts or had never been to school at all will start going to regular school from August 16, thanks to a 'Bridge Course' launched under the Axom Sarva Siksha Abhiyan in Assam. Mission Director of the Axom Sarva Siksha Abhijan, D Jhingran, told that this has become possible after the introduction of the Bridge Course aimed at enrolling and retaining unrolled and irregular children between five to seven years old.
