With a view to exploiting to the hilt India's cultural richness and varied excellence in the field of health and spirituality, the Government is planning to diversify tourism. Concepts like rural, adventure, wellness and medical tourism would be aggressively sold to the world in the coming days. "Apart from yoga, ayurveda, naturopathy and all kinds of spiritual activities that attract foreigners, we are going to highlight that India offers very affordable super-specialty medical assistance. Not only plastic surgeries for facelift, we need to exploit the cheap cure we offer for all kinds of ailments. This is a large untapped area we need to focus on," Union Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni told The Pioneer, explaining how the Government was trying to broadbase reasons for visiting India.
