Goa may be the first state to protect its entire stretch of forests in the Western Ghats region, but only if the present governemnt abides by a recent notification which prominent politicians and lobbies are already arguing against.In June, while Goa was under President's Rule, lush forest areas in regions of interior Goa were notified as protected wildlife areas to safeguard the region's rich flora and animal life.
