The Rs 34,300 crore golden quadrilateral project, initiated by the previous BJP-led NDA government headed by A B Vajpayee, linking the four metros of the country, will be completed by December 2005. Addressing a press conference here after a review of various highway projects in Karnataka, Muniyappa said nearly 75 per cent of the work had been completed in the 5,846 km project, involving 13 states.
