Delhi is going green and in a big way. At least that is what the remote sensing satellites say. Delhi Forest Department officials say that the report on the forest cover of the country to be released by the Forest Survey of India has some very good news for Delhi. The total forest cover of Delhi has increased by as much as 20 sq. km in the past two years. This raises the total percentage of land under forest in Delhi to over seven per cent as opposed to 5.9 per cent it was two years ago.
