Government to complete drinking water project by end-2007

Pakistan government has voiced optimism to complete the Rs21 billion Clean Drinking Water for All (CDWA) Project by December 2007. This optimism was expressed at the second meeting of the Task Force on Clean Drinking Water for All constituted by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the entire population of the country by December 2007.The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Environment Tahir Iqbal. State Minister for Environment Malik Amin Aslam, State Minister for Finance Umar Ayub Khan, provincial ministers for local government, secretary environment and other members of the task force attended the meeting.
