Reiterating that the government had approved development of the second phase of the Agni intermediate range ballistic missile with an enhanced range, defence minister George Fernandes on Tuesday said that efforts were on to ensure that there were no adverse effect of the sanctions on the missile programme which is in a "very advanced stage of development."
