Govt not serious over Koshi displaced people: Koirala

- Nepali Congress (NC) President and outgoing Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Tuesday accused the government of not being serious over the rehabilitation of the displaced people by the Koshi flood and re-construction of the highways.
The NC President said that the NC being the opposition party will always draw the attention of the government to distribute relief packages to the displaced people.
At a meeting with the officials of the Sunsari Trade Union today at his residence in Biratnagar, President Koirala said that indiscipline among the party members has been increasing.
He assured that those who are undisciplined will be punished.
Also today, the octogenarian leader appealed all to make the regional party General Assembly which is scheduled for October 25 at Biratnagar a success.
The former prime minister, who arrived at his hometown on Saturday after six months to celebrate Dashain, has been busy holding meetings with his relatives and party activists for the last two days.
