The Government has cancelled two orders placed by the previous Government to TELCO and Ashok Leyland for the supply of 200 buses to the Delhi Transport Corporation(DTC). The orders of 100 buses each of Tata and Ashok Leyland have been cancelled in light of Supreme Court guidelines which laid down that buses under the DTC and private operators should be converted to single fuel mode on CNG to control pollution.
