The Karnataka State Government is awaiting a green signal from the Union Government and the Supreme Court to clear dead and fallen trees from the forest area, said Forest Minister K H Ranganath on Monday. He said the presence of dead and fallen trees would pose a hindrance to many animals in their movement, and hence it has become necessary to clear such trees from the forest.
