Forest Minister D Manjunath today told the Legislative Council that the case of illegal felling of trees in the reserve forest land in Kodagu district involving the wife of senior police official of Kerala would be referred to the Corps of Detectives(CoD). Raising the matter during the zero hour, Mr Marilinge Gowda (Congress) said that trees worth over Rs 2 crore were felled illegally in Kodagu district and alleged that officials of revenue and other departments had created false documents to facilitate the felling of the trees by Ms Daisy Jacob, wife of George Jacob, a Deputy Inspector General of Police(DIG) in Kerala.
