For foreign tourists, especially women, harassment begins as and when they land at the airport. And never ends. Now, the Delhi government wants the city to get rid of this notorious reputation of being an unsafe city. It is formulating a Tourism Trade Act, which may include licensing for tour and travel operators and security guidelines for hotels. This comes close to the heels of the tourist police launch in the city. This special force has been placed at 10 points in the city, including the airport and the railway station, to prevent harassment and help out tourists.
