In a major policy decision, the Madhya Pradesh State government has decided to give the non-forest barren land on a 33-yr lease to private sector companies, registered societies and organisations. The decision is said to propel non-government investment in the State. The land would only be given for forestry, horticulture, sericulture and other plantation purposes.
