The Madhya Pradesh Government wants to carry out sale of Sagone wood and bamboo through tribals and distribute half the income among the adivasis, says Chief Minster Digvijay Singh. Sale of wood and bamboo through tribals was underway on experimental basis at Chandrapur in Seoni district and the Adivasis were receiving a stipend of Rs 1,250 per month, the chief minister said adding that his government was attempting to provide tribals ownership rights over water, forest and land.
