The Bhawal forest, (Bangladesh) once famous for forest resources, has been losing its past glory due to indiscriminate felling of trees and grabbling of land. Moreover taking advantage of a legal ambiguity, dishonest officials of district revenue office in collusion with dishonest forest officials sold out the forestland to the industrialists and influential persons.
