Sasyashmala, an organisation for the protection of environment in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka believes that planting trees and nurturing them is the only way to protect disappearing species of fauna. The man behind the crusade, M Dinesh Nayak's message to his countrymen is backed by solid action - he has been instrumental in distributing over one lakh saplings, particularly the endangered and vanishing plant varieties and rare herbal plants with the help of schools, colleges, forest department and voluntary organisation.
