After successfully developing Kanan Pendari as the 'oxygen chamber' of Bilaspur, the district administration began another plantation drive to compensate for the trees felled by the National Thermal Power Corporation for its super thermal power plant at Sipat. The plantation drive was launched today on the 500 acres of land. In the first phase over one lakh trees will be planted.
