Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will launch a 'Green Delhi Campaign' from July 2. The campaign which has been scheduled to coincide with the expected first spell of monsoon in the Capital, will be inaugurated by Parliamentary Affairs and Tourism Minister Madan Lal Khurana at Nirman Vihar in East Delhi.During the three month long campaign the MCD has planned to plant 6.5 lakh trees and shrubs in different parts of the city.Of these one lakh trees will be planted in the trans-Yamuna areas.
