Loopholes in the Supreme Court's order, restricting the registration of passenger cars in the National Capital Region, have made environmental organisations call for stringent emission standards all over the country. Official organisations like the CPCB have already called for restrictions in other metros, and today the Centre for Science and Environment urged the government to impose restrictions on vehicular emissions throughtout the country.
