Forest Minister K Sudhakaran's statement denying encroachments in the forests in Pooyamkutty has evoked sharp reactions from the Pooyamkutty Protection Committee. Committee secretary John Peruvanthanam told reporters today that encroachments were continuing in the Pooyamkutty area at a rapid pace.
