A water pricing authority, division of the state into water zones and the metering of water supplied to farmers and domestic users, besides new laws for regulation and control of water resources, are among the salient features of a proposed Gujarat State Water Policy.The draft document prepared by the Narmada Water Resources and Water Supply Department is expected to be placed before the Cabinet for its final nod shortly.
