Haryana and Delhi to work jointly on tax, Metro, water

In a booster to the National Capital Region concept, the Delhi and Haryana governments, after a summit meeting of their chief ministers in the capital on Monday issued a joint statement to work on a host of issues including transport, taxation and water. The Delhi chief minister, Sheila Dikshit, has agreed in principle for a Metro line to Gurgaon, subject to the approval of group of ministers after the Haryana chief minister requested for the extension of the Metro line to IFFCO Chowk, Gurgaon. The alternative routes to Gurgaon will be taken up for Detailed Project Report also.
