Three weeks of delay in the arrival of the monsoon and the continuing extreme weather conditions have set the alarm bells ringing in the Haryana Forest and Wildlife Department. Reacting to this crisis that is looming large, the Haryana Forest Department in an emergency meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Principal Chief Conservator of forests has decided to put off all fresh plantation, over 2.5 crore plants to be sown all across the meagre state forested zones.
