The Haryana Government has decided to have satellite imaging for a Geographic Information System (GIS), to prepare base maps of towns, their master plans and identification of municipal lands to check encroachment and improvement in collection of taxes. A spokesman of the Urban Development Department said on Wednesday that he project would be coupled with digitised software for management of property and enhancement of efficiency.
