The District Collector, Wayanad, has been directed by the Kerala High Court to ensure that the various departments, including the Revenue Department, do no do anything to aid the cutting and removal of trees from the forests in Wayanad district and from patta lands until further orders. The direction was issued by Justice P K Balasubramanyam.
