The Delhi High Court has issued notices to the Centre, Delhi Government, DDA and MCD in a matter seeking relief for the inhabitants of unauthorised colonies who were duped into buying small plots of agricultural land by the land mafia. It has been alleged that the land mafia of Delhi as well as farmers in connivance with the revenue authorities sell the agricultural land for developing colonies. But in the revenue records, the same land is shown as an agricultural land registered in the name of its original owner, the farmer.
