The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the Centre and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board on a petition filed by an NGO alleging that it did not have the authority to issue licence to begin CNG retailing in cities. A division bench headed by Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul also issued notices to PNGRB Chairman L Mansingh and its Member Infrastructure B S Negi. The directions came on a petition filed by non-profit organization Voice of India, which approached the court requesting quashing all such authorizations given by PNGRB for development of CNG pipeline network in cities.
