The Delhi High Court directed the MCD "to forthwith stop all kind of construction activity, which is going on unabated in the Ridge area in south Delhi.' The direction came after the court commissioner pointed out the same to the HC. Terming it as a "complete breakdown of the supervision of the judicial orders,' the special bench said the construction in the protected area amounts "to willful disobedience of earlier orders passed by the Supreme Court'.
