Justice A M Kapadia of Gujarat High Court has stayed the operation of the order of the assistant district judge of Junagadh allowing the appeal of the farmers for having possession of 106 acres of land of Gir forest of Surajgadh in Mendarda taluka. Farmers of Surajgadh had filed an appeal in the civil court claiming the possession of 106 acres of land of Gir forest.
