A record-breaking heat wave in Russia, which has ruined crops in many regions, has also unleashed a rash of fires, threatening this country with an ecological catastrophe.About 15,000 forest fires are raging across Russia and some 500 new fires break out every day, the NTV television said quoting the Emergency Situations Ministry.
