The local Met office in a release said severe heat wave condition would prevail in the State till May 28.
“While the north-westerly wind is currently blowing across the State, the sea breeze towards the landmass has stopped due to formation of a depression over east-central Bay of Bengal this morning that would move north-northeast towards Myanmar and adjoining Bangladesh coast during next 48 hours. Under the influence, the heat wave condition would be more severe till next week up to May 28,” said IMD, Bhubaneswar Director Sarat Sahu.
