Releasing of water in Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, internationally known abode of migratory birds, has become a political issue, instead of a drive to save this world heritage site. On the one hand, the BJP Government in Rajasthan is under attack from the Opposition Congress Party, on the other, its leaders are helplessly watching the fight between two of its local Jat leaders Vishwender Singh MP and Dr Digamber Singh, Health Minister, over the issue. Over the years, the park was getting 350 Million Cubic Feet (MCFT) of water from Pachana Dam nearby Karuali district.
