High Capacity Bus arrives today

Delhi's first high capacity bus is scheduled to arrive on Jan 14. The Delhi Government is keen to introduce the high capacity bus on the Moolchand and Ambedkar Nagar corridors, by the end of the month. The government had ordered 30 high capacity buses each costing about Rs 25 lakhs. Speaking to The Pioneer, City Transport Minister Haroon Yusuf said that the first high capacity bus is expected to reach late on Monday night and another 10 buses are expected to reach by March. Mr Yusuf also said that the the government is keen to introduce such buses in the city as early as possible. A trial run will begin by the end of this month, added Mr Yusuf.
