Overflowing drains a perennial problem for residents of Guzdar scheme, Santa Cruz may soon be a thing of the past. The Bombay high court has directed the civic administration to remove 1364 hutments that encroach upon the four main nallahs in the area. The presence of the slums had reportedly led to clogging of drains and flooding in monsoons.
