The Delhi High Court on Monday refused to put off the ongoing demolition of unauthorised constructions being carried out by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) across the city since December 17. A Vacation Bench comprising Justice R.C. Jain and Justice Sanjiv Khanna refused to hear a public interest litigation in the mater by Congress MLA Prahlad Singh Sawhney from the Civil Lines constituency here seeking deferment of the December 14 directions of the Court ordering the demolition.
