The Panjim Bench of the Bombay High Court has stayed, until further orders, any developmental activities being done on a plot in Ela, Old Goa where deforestation over seven hectares of land has been carried out. The court has also restrained the deputy collector from renewing or issuing a fresh sanad for this plot pending the hearing and the final disposal of the petition.
