Hindustan Lever Ltd(HLL) has agreed to the clean up of its Kodaikanal mercury thermometer factory, which has been closed since 2001 due to breach of pollution control norms. The factory site was contaminated with mercuryladen broken glass and effluent treatment plant sludge.
