Hardly 24 hours have passed since the Bombay High Court directed the Bombay Municipal Corporation against granting permission for new hoardings or renewing the licenses of the existing ones, there are signs of an impending conflict. The order is contrary to various Supreme Court judgements on freedom to carry out one's business. It is unjust to penalise everyone if a single person has violated rules by cutting trees illegally, said A V Gopalkrishnan Mumbai Hoarding Owners' Association president.
